Hello RSA,
I am a new member and have some questions on my .44 New Model.
I would like to know when it was made.? and hopefully to whom it was issued.?
and is the cartouche on left grip known.? and who is it.?
The cylinder is marked: P 46 25 so I presume it is not matching.
however the numbers appear to be from an entirely different font,
so is it from an entirely different series.? or model.?

Hi Fred,
Both the gun, and the cylinder were made in November, 1863. Obviously, at some point the cylinder was changed, but no way to know when or where. Sorry I'm not any further help. I can't make out the inspector's initials.
