1968 wingmaster NIB
1968 wingmaster NIB
So I recently acquired this Wingmaster. I purchased it from a family member of the original owner. The story goes he bought a new AMC car back in 1967 or 1968 and the gun came with the car. They have the letter which I included in the pictures. Additionally it is unfired and appears as though it was never even assembled. I took it out of the box to inspect it and wiped it down with a little gun oil. Curious of the possible value and I assume it’s quite rare to have one unfired with all the paperwork etc.

Re: 1968 wingmaster NIB
I bought one just like it except 3" Magnum in 1974. Paid $150 out the door. Shot it better than any other shotgun I have ever owned, and I've probably owned 75 or 80. Outstanding firearm.
What could have happened... did.
Re: 1968 wingmaster NIB
I bought my first 870 in 1968. It was manufactured in January 1968. Cost $80.00 new with a 30" plain barrel. A year or two later I had a Polychoke vent rib added to the barrel. Acquired a TB trap stock to use for when I shot trap. I've put many thousands of rounds through that gun. Also, over the years I acquired a number of other barrels for it........26" Imp. Cyl., 26" with choke tubes, and a few years back I bought a 20" Imp. Cyl. when Remington was selling some with a special/discounted price for a home defense variation. Also, over the years I've acquired several 20 gauge models, too. Never paid over $200.00 for any of them.
