700 barrel code?

Post by Larry »

I went through the manufacturing dates, but just couldn't seem to find what I am looking for.

It's a 700 BDL - 0 X T 64 on the left side of barrel, I can't seem to figure this one out. Does the T mean the year? What does the 64 mean?

This rifle is 97%.

Any help would greatly be appreciated.

Thanks

OX is July 1973 or July 2003. The T & 64 are proof or testing stamps.

Thanks John for the help.

Quick question; how did you come about finding this?

So it looks like it's a 1973 then.

Thanks again.

Do you mean how did I find your post or how did I sort out the barrel code???

The barrel code key can be found on the RSA home page.

I surf this forum every day hoping to learn and share what I know.

I have done a lot of research on Remington 22s (check this site's home page under books). Some of the info I've learned on 22s spills over on centerfires.
