I cleaned the 11-87 the other day, and discovered only 1 front detent spring in trigger assembly. The schematic appears to show 2 front, and 1 rear. Do I need another front spring? A fellow on youtube says there is only 1 required.
Thanks!
Steve
Trigger Plate Pin Detent Springs: 11-87
Re: Trigger Plate Pin Detent Springs: 11-87
1100s had two D springs for decades. I don't remember when the 11-87 dropped one and indeed the new 1100s might have one as well, I just don't remember. You only need one unless you are so ham handed you can't get it in the gun assembled without two.

I reassembled it fairly easily. I can't wait to shoot it. Last time I shot a shotgun was around 1985! And not even much. Times have changed. My friend and I used to walk right down the street with our rifles, headed to the woods. Just an FID card!

Indeed times have changed. I once sighted in my .30-06 on the picnic table five steps from the back door. Now there are houses everywhere filled with ex-city dwellers who call 911 if they hear a bang.
