Grandpa`s Old Shotgun

I have my grandpa`s old Remington pump 12 gauge, just wanted to see if i could find out how old it is. On the top of the barrel it says `Remington Arms-Union Metallic Cartridge Co., Remington Works, Ilion, New York, U.S.A, Patented February 3, 1903 and May 16, 1905`

And the serial number is `U then 86494`

And the but has UMC on it.

I think it`s a Model 10?, Any help would be appreciated, Thanks Gary
