1894 crack in receiver block

Another issue with my 1894 AE.
On thorough cleaning of the receiver block I discovered a crack. See photo. As I just acquired the 1894 I have no idea as to its origin or how long it has been cracked. The piece has not separated from the main block.
Any ideas on repair welcome. Micro weld?
