This is my grandfather's model 1100 shotgun. He's a WWII vet and has recently decided to sell a few of his collectables in order to pay bills. Being his grandson, I decided to help him find it's value so somebody doesn't take advantage of him. From what he told me, he bought this shotgun froms a sporting goods store that he worked at. I believe he said in the late 60's or late 70's (I forget). It's new in box and never fired. The interesting thing about this rifle is the serial number (N444444M). He believes it should be more valuable because of said serial number... is this true?
Anyway, I don't have access to a blue book so I'm hoping that someone here can help me out. It seems to be a unique piece, but I could be wrong. Thanks in advance!
