Remington Sportsman model 11 date of manufacture
Hello, I recently purchased a 12 gauge Model 11 Sportsman with a 26" barrel, vent rib and mid bead sight. It is choked Improved cylinder and has serial number 504503. The left side of the barrel has three marks, X D and one I can't distinguish. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

The receiver with serial number 504503 was put in production in late September/early October 1935. A barrel date code of XD would be X = December, D = 1935.
