Sling for a 700 BDL

Back in 1986, I purchased a new 700 BDL in 25-06. I gave it to my son, who used it only once to take an antelope. The rifle is in pristine condition. I found the original box it came in, and it still has the paperwork in a sealed bag. However, there is no sling. It does have the studs for the Q-D mounts, but I do not remember if it came with a sling back then. Does anyone know?
