Inherited a lot of firearms from a good friend. This rifle was one of them, trying to find years and a little history.
Stamped 7mm on barrel, no other markings visible.

not sure of when it was made... early 1900's, and it's chambered in 7x57 mauser.

There are no markings other then 7mm on the barrel and Remington marking near stock.
I don't want to take it apart. What years were they in service?
