Model 14 need help
Hi folks, I have a model 14 that is missing the extractor, could anyone post some pictures with dimensions so I can fabricate one, or if anyone has a replacement for sale. Thanks

They are different based on caliber.
E-gunparts.com has them and for the 22.50 price, I'd just buy the dern thing...

If your Model 14 bolt is missing the extractor then it is most likely to be missing the spring and plunger that goes with it. First of all, finding the part is the least of your problems, installing it is extremely difficult and probably "the" most difficult part on the this rifle to install. After getting it installed, it probably won't work properly, and about 50% of the time can you file/fit it while it's installed on the bolt. If you haven't done it before, it's not fun, and getting the plunger (difficult to find) to line up makes the job even worse. I'm not trying to bum you out but that is the truth of the matter. I work only on Model 14/141's and I must tell you this is one job I try to avoid.

Don't mean to "pile on" here but extractors don't just fall out, once in place they are "really" in place so unless the old one simply broke off which is highly unlikely then the problem is the recess hole in the bolt body. If the hole is worn and unable to retain the extractor then a new part is not the solution but rather a replacement bolt is pretty much the only solution!
Sorry, nothing is easy with these rifles but hope I'm wrong about yours.
