Remington 40 X rimfire information needed

I am getting a 40 X rimfire.
It has the wooden Target/prone stock with original Redfield sights etc.
Can someone please tell me approximately what year it was made?.
It is serial number 33XXX B.

Does the B have any significance?

What muzzle diameter do the heavier barrel and light barrel version Have?

These are the only details I have and I will not have the rifle for about 5 weeks or so,so any information would be great.

Take the time to research the barrel markings.
