Left handed 1100 models

Post by geistfahrer »

Hi,
I'm new here and just discovered the Remington Society today. I have owned a left-hand 1100, 28" Mod in 12 gauge since 1986. I still shoot this gun to this day. I have all of the original paperwork, boxes and parts. I have also manage to pick up a 26" skeet barrel and an additional 28" mod barrel with after-market thinwall colonial chokes. All left hand of course. My question is how many variations of left-hand 1100s and 870s were there? I know they made one in 20 gauge and I have actually held an 1100-trap in lh. Did they make them in 16, special models, special engraving? Anything helps,
thanks.

The only special model that I know of is the Dale Earnhardt Sr. LH 12 Ga. 28" ribbed. I saw it a few years back @ gander mountain. the scroll work was of his face on the left side in gold. and DALE EARNHARDT in script in gold as well. Jay L.
