Please help with any info here in England on 1858 NMA

Hi,
I was hoping someone might be able to help me with any information relating to a revolver I've acquired. I bought it here in England at an auction.
It has the sn 111680, both matching. On the base of the butt the name 'Dick Weeton' has been roughly carved, it also has 3 notches carved into it. On the trigger guard is the letter P.

Hi Tim,
The only thing I can tell you is that your revolver was made in November of 1864. The P on the trigger guard is a government inspection mark.
