4-shot Derringer, Inherited

Just inherited a Derringer used by my wife's G-Grandfather when he was a bill collector for a brewry in mid to late 1800's. From information on your web site it is a Remington-Elliot 4-shot .32 rimfire Derringer. One side of barrrel reads Elliot's patents May 29, 1850 - Oct 11, 1861. There is a B on left side frame above grip panel. Barrel #668, frame #663. Overall it seems in very good condition. Would like information about the Derringer and would also like to know its approximate value.

I would suspect with the serial no's so close it's probably the same with one being not as readable but ....
These were manufactured from 1863 and continuing to as late as 1888 with approximately 25,000 produced. The value is based on original condition, condition, and condition if the serial no's actually do not match significantly less. You can check Flaydermans for an approximate value but probably the best way to estimate the value is to find a like condition one for sale on a site such as gunbroker.com.
