MODIFIED HAMMER ON 63 NMA—anyone seen this before?

Post by drm2m »

Has anyone seen this modification to the hammer on a 63 NMA?
Serial number 107274 on the underside of the barrel and on the left frame grip strap, and 7274 on the trigger guard tab.
Very strong main spring.
It indexes and shoots very well.

OWA cartouche on the left grip.(Orville W. Ainsworth)

Hi
Nice revolver.
Have not seen a hammer like this before. Probably an replacement or a repair.
To me it looks like the trigger is a replacement as well. Have not seen a NMA with a straight trigger like that it's usually more curved. But I have not seen them all :-)
