I recently inherited my Grandfathers Model 12 A 22. Cleaned and lubricated it and brought it to the range where I was astonished at it's accuracy . What a piece of machining craftsmanship that i will cherish and keepin good operating order. One thing that is troubling me is the date of manufacture the number on it reads 654662. If any one could help it would be apreciated.
Cheers

Your rifle was made in 1925, give or take a year. The month and year of production can be determined by the barrel code which is on the left side of the barrel just ahead of the receiver. There will be other things stamped there as well. Check this (RSA) website for barrel codes and you will have more info on when your rifle was made.
