Model 341 with erratic firing

Post by Kurt64 »

I am attempting to put my grandson's 22 in order. It is an old family rifle. The rifle misfires leaving a weak mark on the shell. I did degrease the bolt, but I did not take it apart. The firing pin, or a part of it appears to be loose as the business end will slide through the bolt face firing pin hole even when the bolt is cocked. I suspect this means the firing pin is broken. Since I really do not like breaking open a 22 rifle's bolt, does anyone know from experience if this is the case. The next question is, where do I get a firing pin and spring. Several oulets that list the rifle do not have the pin in stock. Thanks for your help!

I just checked the Gun Parts Corp web site and saw they had the 341 pin listed. You can get the link by going to the RSA home page and clicking on the service/parts link.

"Gun Parts Corp does list the part, but they are out of stock at this time."
