Hi all from a new memeber. Just bought a new (to me) model 12. My previous model 12 had the square firing pin and never gave any trouble. To my supprise this one has a round firing pin in the top of the bolt face, not the side. It also fails to eject. As far as I can tell from the serial number this should be an early round pin model (Dec 1925). The rear reciever does show signs of metal strike/wear in the area where a square firing pin/ejector would hit, and there is the remains of the curved flat spring in the rear, similar to my earlier model 12, although this spring is broken off at the point where it is anchored into the frame.
Does anyone have pictures or a description of the parts needed to eject a case from this type of bolt. I suspect some sort of stud would be needed to force the round pin well into the bolt, although I am not convinced that this would work, given the reduced advantage from the round pin being at the top of the case and at about 90 degrees to the extactor, where the flat pin was almost opposite (180 degrees) the extractor. Also, I cannot see any way of fixing a stud in place in the rear reciever plate.
Any help much appreciated.
