identify old rifle w/ PATS numbers and photos?

Hello RSA,

I need some help identifying a gun please.

There's an old gun that my dad was keeping in his garage, so it's quite rusted. I put a little gun oil on it. The following is printed on the barrel:

Remington Arms Co Inc Ilion NY Made in USA
Browning's PATS 659 507 658 786-701.288-853.438-984 268

Like I said, it's rusty. The last 3 may be an 8 instead. Did my best with the spacing, dashes, and periods. Think they're right.
