I have acquired a nice model 1875 all original Remington 44 WCF revolver. It is full blued with case hardened hammer and loading gate. There is no lanyard ring. serial/batch number is 863. The safety and loading notches are worn and the pawl screw is broken at the screw driver notch so I can't get it out to get the hammer out.I have also noticed that it has gain twist rifling like the 1858 new model I have.
Can anyone tell buy the batch number approximately when this was built?
Am I correct in that this has gain twist rifling?
Can anyone tell me where I can get a pawl screw that will fit?
