Yes. When Remington Arms Co., Inc. introduced the Model 870 and Model 1100 in .410-bore and 28-gauge, in 1969, the field guns came with Mahogeny stocks and forearms and individual guns were sold. The new 28-gauge and .410-bore Model 870 and Model 1100 Skeet Guns came as matched pairs in a hard case with American Walnut stocks and forearms and the "Match Weight Skeet Caps". According to the 1969 Remington catalogue the Matched Pairs were only offered in 1969, list price $395 for the Model 870s and $495 for the Model 1100s. The individual Model 870 .410-bore and 28-gauge field guns were listed at $119.95 with plain barrel and $144.95 with vent rib barrel. The individual Model 1100 .410-bore and 28-gauge field guns were listed at $174.95 with plain barrel and $199.95 with vent rib barrel.
