Go to the Home Page and click on "Manufacture Dates". The barrel code will give you the month/year of assembly.

Additionally, if there is no preceding letter prefix to the serial number, look for the date to be "in the vicinity of" 1969 - 1970. It seems that around that time they went from a six-digit serial number to a seven-digit one with numbers starting in the 6 millions......they also changed some stock styles in 1969.
For example, one of my 700s from July of 1968 has a serial number of 358XXX and one from July of 1971 has a serial number of 6458XXX with another one from February 1972 has a serial number 6517XXX.
Somewhere in the mid-1970s they started adding letter (A, B, C, etc.) prefixes in about 5-year increments.
