Well just covering the bases because I don't know your personal shooting habits. I assume this is a standard barrel Remington 700. On average you will get around 4-5 shots before the barrel begins to warm up which will cause flyers. Shoot around two shots Nd let the barrel cool and take another two.
Secondly the hump is there for a reason, and the 700 has carried the reputation of being the most accurate rifle out of the box. I would leave it alone. Try several different loads and at least a couple different brands of ammo. Like the last post Saudi really don't see any reason to be shooting deer 4-500 yards away. At that range there's no none flyer garuntee anyways floating barrel or not.
