1890 44 C.F.W. Pistol

Hi,
I am trying to find out the worth of this Remington pistol. The Serial number is 1592 is hidden inside the gun found under the grip on the back scrap. It is a one line address. I have had offers on it and need to know what it is worth, It is mostly blue and in very good condition. I understand that there was only about 2000 made and that only about 400 were blue. It has a Ivory site which may be altered but installed by a gun smith or maybe that is the way it comes. It is a 7 1/2 barrel.Can someone help me?

1890's are valuable even in brown (patina) the value it's very dependent on original condition, condition, and condition. People vary greatly on what their definition of mostly and very etc. Pictures would help but considering this gun could easily be worth in excess of 10,000 getting in the HANDS of someone who can value it independently is probably a must.

I have an 1890 low 2 hundred serial # range, all matching numbers. Grips are cheap replacements, and it has been converted from 44 to 22. The gun was nickel with lots left in hidden areas. It looks like some sort of blue was applied to preserve the metal. This gun is a true shooter. The conversion is as good as can be. Does anybody have one of these?

An 1890 converted to a 22 rf? Pictures of that conversion I would like to see....

However great it is as a shooter, converting or altering an 1890 is downright criminal (ok very sad) even it dog poop condition it went from several thousand to maybe a couple hundred if that.
