Rem records show your M/12 was made in 1913. The stock configuration (no pistol grip) is correct for that era. It would be good to use standard velocity ammo. No values given on this site; too many variables possible....

Why would high velocity ammo be bad for a pump ? Now old semi autos would be another story .

Because the pressures are higher on the Hi-Vel ammo. The breechblock was strengthened when the M/121 replaced the M/12. That's when the LR ammo pressure changed. I know of several M/12s that are loose and unsafe because of repeated use of HI-Vel ammo.

I do not believe that the purpose of this forum is to appraise gun value's.
I wouldn't even want to take a guess what it is worth.
Although most people who are looking for a appraisal - usually are the same ones who are trying to either insure it for more then they paid for it. Or they are trying to sell it without paying some gun broker or web site her or his fee..
.22 rimfire ammo will not hurt a vintage rifle - if that is what it is.
The barrel is several times more in diameter then what is necessary for it's minimum / maximum chamber pressure.

You can think it's OK, but Remington does not recommend HI-Vel ammo in the M/12. If that wasn't the case, why did they bother to beef up the breechblock when the M/121 replaced the M/12 in 1936??? That's when the newer ammo was introduced. Please do not encourage folks to use HI-Vel ammo in a M/12!!! Will a few rounds do any damage??? Probably not, but continued use of HI_Vel ammo will hurt a M/12 and some other vintage rifles.
