That is probably a good ball park price for such a messed with EE-Grade. I remember when that gun use to be in the late Art McKee's display at the Forks of the Delaware gun show in Allentown, PA. The asking price on Charles Semmer's nice EE-Grade at the winter Las Vegas show was three times that, likewise the great "Clyde B. Wells" EE-Grade years ago when Chaddicks had it for sale.

I don't know how a gun could be much more "messed with"? Non-original barrels. Non-original forearm wood. Non-original recoil pad. Buggered screws. And, poor fit at the head of the stock indicating a split or split repair in the head of the stock.

In that I didn't buy the Clyde B. Wells EE-Grade 16-gauge gun when Herschel Chadick had it at Las Vegas, I'll likely never buy one.

Griffin & Howe has a DE-grade 16-gauge on Gunsinternational that they say has a straight grip stock and trigger guard off an EE-Grade?!?

Wonder what my only known DEO-Grade 16-gauge is worth if G & H's gun is worth $22500??

Dave,
I'd say yours would bring a nice piece more, now that's relatively speaking, so for grin and giggles wouldn't you think at least 35% premium?
That puts it at $30,375.
My 10 ga CEO made it in today undamaged in transit, thank goodness.
Nice 105 yr old gun.
