Model 14 Thumbnail Safety "Sear Lock"

Post by nambujim »

While I realize this is probably a hopeless request and doubt that I will find this part before my expiration date but I will go ahead and ask.

Is there anyone out there that just might have the really rare
Sear Lock for a TNS Bolt and willing to part with it? I have a complete bolt (.35 Cal) with all the internals but no Sear Lock or Sear Lock Pin............the latter of which can be made but making the Sear Lock itself would require a great deal of talent and time.

Advise!

I don't mean to be sarcastic but I have no idea what the above has to do with the "sear lock" on a Model 14 TNS rifle.

Anyhow, the normal sear lock on a Model 14 is a single part with a pin holding it into place, the one for the Thumbnail Safety is two pieces and utilizes a slightly longer pin.

I am NOT a gunsmith and certainly not a machinist but have managed to destroy several "regular" sear locks in a vain attempt to make one for some TNS bolts I have that are missing the original two-part lock.

If anyone has the pieces, let me know.
