7400 jamming problem

I bought a 7400 in 270 win a couple of years ago and I have to clean the barrel and chamber every 40 rounds or so or it will start jamming. What is causing this? I have tried different mags with no success. Thanks!!!

Remington said the 7400 is not designed to fire large amounts of ammo without cleaning because the tolerances are so tight. They said the typical 7400 would never be required to fire that much in one setting.

Thats why I was asking here. Remington's story is a little strange so I wanted to see if there was anyone else who had a similar experience.
