Model 30-S

Post by 7RUM »

I have a model 30-S serial # 2244 that is in 90-95% condition. Wondering what it might be worth. Any info on date of maufacture, number or anything interesting about the 30s would be appreciated. I have owned the rifle for about 30 years.

I'm a relatively new owner of a Remington 30 and I have a little information I can share with you on your rifle. It would be easier if you contacted me directly at hemphill@gvtel.com.

If any of you know of any available historical documentation on these rifles I'd appreciate a heads up. I have four of these and love them but know only what I have read in various gun magazines (very old American rifleman and other period magazines).

I would like to identify the variations and pinpoint the actual date of mfr but I have not found a list of serial numbers and dates for old Remington rifles. It appears Remington was not great on keeping historical info on their products.

I've come across websites that provide some info but it is sparse and unverified.

Hi 7RUM, I'ld like to see some pics of that. And if your interested in letting it go, I might be interested. I've started a small collection of these. Yu know how it is. You can never have too many!
