Just bought a 760 and was wondering the manufacturer date. The SN is 332145, and the barrel marks appear to be K, then a space, then H. There is also an * and then what appears to be CC. Its a 30-06 Springfield

I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have bought a 760 with SN 7091737 and I was wondering the manufacture date and possible value of the rifle. The markings on the left side of the barrel are T 82, then what looks like an x and possibly a spade forward of that. Any help would be appreciated.

Do you have any idea how much this rifle might be worth? It's a .30-06 with a Tasco 4x fixed scope on flip-off mounts. The rifle is in like new condition despite being 35 years old. The previous owner fired maybe 60 rounds through it, and I've fired about 20. Other than that, it's in perfect condition.

Thanks for the reply and information. My wife has an inherited 760 which by family history and barrel marks (PC) dates to June '56. If the slide action of her rifle is the same as the weapon in question, then the CC mark would be the correct date, rather than KH? I want to give this rifle to my brother-in-law in return for past good deeds, and would like very much to be able to provide some history. Thanks
