I have a Gamemaster 760 30-06 that belonged to my grandfather. I was wondering if anyone could tell me about this rifle. Serial number is 8105X. On the left side of the barrel there is a small "A" followed by "ZZ" and then what looks like a plus symbol. On the right side there are various symbols including R.E.P, and a three-leafed clover.
Can anyone help me out? Also, if anyone has an idea of the value of this gun, I would also like to know, not that I would ever sell it....

Thanks, I re-posted after seeing my mistake. Does anyone know if these guns were tapped for scope mounts in 1953? Mine is, I was wondering if they all are. Also, the blueing is worn in some places and the stock could use a little work. Is it advisable to get these done? I know this is not a highly collected gun but given another 30-40 years anything could happen. What are the pro's and con's?
