or the chance to buy a new, unfired Remington target rifle!
Before I take it out in the woods and defile it by punching some tin cans!

It's a Model 541X, not a model 52 as I said in my first post here (that's the Winchester version), ex military issue target rifle, new, unfired. I'll be picking it up this afternoon, and saturday, I'll be finding out how well it shoots.
Here's your chance to tell me I'm crazy to be defiling an unfired collectible! The original owner couldn't bring himself to shoot it. I'm still willing to pass this on in unfired condition to someone who thinks that's important, but personally, I think they should be used if possible, and I like shooting accurate guns!
It's been pretty dead here since I first signed on earlier this month. It will really be funny if we start seeing posts saying I just threw away $300 the first time I put a round in the chamber!
Well, I've blown more money than that for far less worthy causes than being able to put lots of little holes close together!

Gentlemen:

What on earth do Poker and Indian Casinos have to do with Remington rifles??? Please stick to the topic on this site...

Speaking of the subject... There are plenty of 541-Xs out there. I agree with shooting it.
