in 1991 i bought a brand new pump 257 roberts.model 7600... i was told by the gun smith that i bought it from that remington was only going to make 1,000 of these in 257 roberts caliber to see if they would sell...since then a friend told me that they didnt continue the caliber in this pump gun...he told me i have 1 0f 1,000 ever made....if this is true, can you tell me what this brand new 257 roberts is worth...it was never fired and it is in the box....thanks bob

You have one of the Grice Wholesale, Clearfield, PA special orders. Each year they offer non-cataloged Remington Model 7600s. In 1991 they sold 1,200 Model 7600s in .257 Roberts. They also offered Model 7600s that year in 7mm-08 and .25-06. I have one in .25-06 - a very accurate rifle!

The best reference for pricing would be the Blue Book. My copy is out on loan so I do not have an estimate.

I dont know what Grice Whosale Clearfield Pa. is or means and i dont have a blue book...i called my local gun dealer and he told it wasnt even worth what i paid for it new...I dont believe that..I do want to sell it but i dont want to get ripped off... thanks
