I have a rolling block (replica from Cimmaron Arms unfortunitly) and I hunt with this rifle, it's a great shooter. I would really like to have a sling to help with the 12+ pounds as I roam the mountains. My Question: Does anyone know if a sling was installed on any of the origional sporting RBs? I know that some of the miitary RBs had slings with a trigger guard swivel and a barrel band.
I would like to install a simple leather sling on my heavy barrel sporting RB but, I don't want to do something that is glaringly historically incorrect. Any information on an applicable swivel set would be greatly appreciated.
