Remington Arms Company, Inc. Pocket Catalogues

Post by Researcher »

How many variations to the pocket catalogue of the late 1920s and early 1930s are there? I have two.

The first has the cover background in black with the flying Geese above blue waves and "Remington Firearms" in black print. This catalogue has the Model 29 in 12-gauge and the Model 17 in 20-gauge. The Model 11 is listed as 12-gauge only, but overstamped in red as being now available in 20-gauge.

The second has the cover background in blue with the flying Geese above black waves and "Remington Firearms" in yellow print. For pump guns, this catalogue still has the 12-gauge Model 29 and the 20-gauge Model 17, but has introduced the 12-gauge Model 31 pump. The Model 11 is now available in 12-, 16- and 20-gauge and the three-shot "The Sportsman" has been added in all three gauges. Also, the Model 32 Over and Under shotgun has been added in 12-gauge with double triggers. The text states "Later the single trigger can be fitted at a moderate extra charge."

I can't find a date on either of these catalogues.
