You have a rifle that was made in 1913. From the pictures, I would say that it was refinished at some point. The buttplate is from a later period and not originally for a 14. In 1913, the serial range was 4944-16420. It would be interesting to know if the shellhead is marked "UMC" and whether the last year on the rollmark on the barrel is 1910 or 1912.....tom
