Remington rolling block .32

Post by Gunsmoke47 »

Hello, I have just received a .32 cal. Rolling block as a gift and I need help determining what model it is. It is an octagon barrel, 23 3/8" to the edge of the receiver. 24 1/16 to where the rolling block closes on the receiver. On the top of the barrel is stamped " Remington Arms Co. Ilion NY. On the bottom of the barrel is the serial #74256 running lengthwise with the barrel. Above that is the #32 running across the barrel. No other markings on barrel or receiver. It came with 2 boxes of rim fire cartridges. I have been told it is a #4, and I have been told it is a 1 1/2 Sporter. The barrel length doesn't seem to match either of those? I would love to know the model and the time frame they were made. Thank you for any info. Kelley
