My name is AL DAMORE and I live in Phx. AZ, I collected mostly US military long arms when I had the money, Now my last girl is going to ASU and I am not an active collector any longer.
An old, longtime friend of mine has some excellent Remington Rolling block pieces he wishes to sell. Among them 2 near new 7mm rifles, a near new M 1871 Army pistol and a very nice M 1871 Army 50-70 rifle. ALso an excellent plus, original Remington Percussion pistol, cal.44. Some blue flaking but in outstanding condition..
Is it possible to sell such arms on this website as over on Surplus Arms and others .?? All responses will be promptly answered. I have a thick skin after being a collector awhile, so any negative comments will be answered as well. I do not intend to offend any ones sensibilities We have a price range targeted via Flayderman 's Guide, but as it says, it is only a guide. Thank you to all who respond. Regards AL DAMORE

You are welcome to post here but honestly....
You will have much better luck reaching a larger audience on gunbroker.com, gunsamerica.com, auctionarms.com, and gunsinternational.com.

I don't think anyone, well maybe, takes Flaydermans values at face value, I believe it's been long established it's more a relative guide to the value between items vs the actual value. There's just nothing better then these sites to look for like items sold to determine their value, as they say it's worth what someone will pay for it.

Thanks for the kind words. As a collector myself I have always tended to shy away from the Flayderman Value as Gospel. As it now stands the current owner would like to see some of his guns go to serios collectors rather some dealer or speculator on the web. Here in Phx. they are a tight fisted and cantankerous group, and the best selling items at the big gunshows here are fast firing, plastic rifles. I hope to hear from more of the membership as time passes. Until then, best regards to all AL DAMORE

I don't suspect your get negative comments here, maybe constructive criticism if that was warranted.

I also like to see anything I do sell go to a "real" collector and that has some value but there's a reasonable limit. I certainly see dealers selling on these sights but most often not buying, since the auction system of most bring the prices up to fair market value I don't know any dealers that buy at more then 20-25% under cost for resale. Please do post especially if any of those rolling blocks are 22lr.

As usual a thoughtful response and well taken. The RRB;s will include 2 7mm rifles, a US M 1871 in 50-70, a M 1871 army pistol, an outstanding Number 4 in .32, as well as an incomplete RRB, Mexican marked in .43.( not in super condition) There are other Remington products as well, including several Remington Lees in both complete and incomplete condition. I will post more information as it becomes available. Thanks to all for their consideration.
