How can I find the EXACT date my rifle was made. It's a Model 25 pump action, center fire 25-20 rifle. Serial Number 986. Any help would be much appreciated.

As you probably know, The M/25 was introduced in 1923. Serial #s started with 001. I have found no day to day production #s for the M/25 at the factory. The barrel code will give you month/year of assembly (2nd letter should be a "P") but the exact day will probably remain a mystery. Enjoy your M/25...
