Fieldmaster 121 - Date Code

I recently purchased a 121 and the barrel is marked "B P 3" and does not match up with the Remington list posted. Any help on determining manufacture date? Additionally, the butt plate is metal and on the receiver under Remington are the numbers 30505 if this helps. Thank you

By the serial # your M/121 was made in 1939. The date code should have an "H" as the second letter. The "3" is a repair code. If there is a second "P" BPP3 would mean it was repaired in January 1945.

Thanks for the information. I have looked again and there is only the "B P 3" and no "H" or extra "P" on the barrel.
