Remington 870 LW 20 gauge

I'm looking the Magazine cap with Sling Swivel Stud to order for an 870 LW 20 gauge. All parts I found are for the standard 870. Or... does anyone know of a universal system to attach a sling to a Remington 870 LW 20 gauge. The Light Weight model is different that the Light Contour I believe.

Michaels of Oregon sells the stud post that will work on any fore end cap, just drill it out. Brownells used to have the mag cap with stud but I haven't looked lately.

Can anyone tell me where the serial number might be located on my Remington 870 LW 20 gauge

Left hand side of the receiver. Should be plain as day.

That's what I was afraid of because the mounting plate for my scope covers that area. I'll have to think about this now. Thanks.

What's the issue with the serial number? All 870LW receivers are the same as far as I know, unless they made some deer guns with sights or mounts on the receiver that didn't fasten via the receiver pins that I don't know about
