I have a model 121 remington fieldmaster. I looked on the left side of the barrel for D.O.M. code but cant decifer this. The code is A 7 2 <
If someone could help me out with manufacture date and possible value I would greatly appreciate it. The rifle is in very good shape.No rust anywhere and only one small mark on stock.

I'd say get out a magnifying glass (if you haven't already).

If I had to take a wild guess (deduction), I'd say it might be a "Z Z" instead of "7 2".
The preceding "A" on your barrel would probably be the month code as it's not normal to put the year first.
