Old 22, Need information

This is my great grandmother's gun, it wont ever be for sale and i was wondering what kinda information yall can give me on it. All it has stamped on it is RANGER22S-L-LR M34.

I believe your gun is a Sears and Roebuck Gun made by Marlin, Stevens or others. It is not a Remington. Without the Sears Model Number I can't pin it down any further. Jay Huber RSA

What you have is a .22 rifle manufactured by Marlin for Sears, It is very similar to a Marlin 81, But it is missing its peep sight which was mounted on the bolt. No real Collectors Value, I paid $30.00 for mine, But A Family Heirloom To You. GoodLuck, Olypenn22
