My new to me 722 in 257 Roberts

Post by butch lambert »

I just purchased this 722 and a Mod 37 that belonged to Mike Walker. Mike was able to pick better wood and had a non cataloged 22" barrel. It has a TT barrel code and a 34XXX serial number. It has a 1 1/2 power Lyman Alaskan scope with side mounts. I hope you enjoy it.

I would imagine that Mike had his choice of about any wood in the place. And it looks like he chose well.

And I like his ctg choice too.

Interesting that he went with a side mount scope.

What's the rest of the story on that rifle?

Butch,
If my old eyes are seeing correctly, I think that's a Packmeyer (sp)? swing over mount.
My dad had one on a sporterized Enfield '06. Which happened to be a Remington.

Chuck,
Remington made some Remington mod 30s. I have one of those also in 30-06. They are patterned after the 1917 Enfield that Remington, Winchester, and Eddystone made.
