i'm wondering if anyone can tell me if i've ruined a perfectly good Remington 03-A3.
I recently purchased a U.S. Remington 03-A4 as well as a Savage300
like a knucklehead, I shot six 300 savage rounds out of the rifle before realizing i grabbed 2 boxes of Savage300 shells instead of 30-06.. they shot fine and were accurate....3 inch group with iron sites at approx 100yards.
I'm just concerned with the amount and type of damge i've done to the rifle and what i need to do now.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
thank you

What did the casings look like when you ejected them from the gun. Your not going to get any good answers here on whether or not your gun is safe to shoot or damaged because we can not physically inspect it. I would think the best advice would be to take it to a respectable gunsmith. Its probably fine, and you probably just ruined the 300 savage caseings for possibly reloading because they probably swelled to form the 30-06 chamber as much as they could, but I would still have a gunsmith look at it.
