Mountain rifle SS

So I recently picked up a mountain rifle ss from '93 in .270. I'm happy because the guy who sold thought it was a cheaper version(so did I at first) and I got a good deal on it, and it appears to have been a safe queen. Since these were a somewhat limited run I haven't found info or reviews on them. I'm familiar with the newer versions of the mtn rifle,how does this one compare? factory weight? Any owners? Any info is appreciated. I haven't had a chance to shoot it yet so I'm hoping she's a shooter. Thanks in advance.
