Rem 14 or 141

Post by BIG PARD »

Hello all! I have a Remington pump 32 rem with the serial number of :

C
49496

The barrel length is 21 and 1/4 inches from the front of the receiver to the end of the barrel.
The forward part of the pump slide has the helical twist and is stamped at the end on the left side with-PATD NOV 6,1912. There is a faint looking "M" on the lower left side of the barrel just ahead of the receiver.
The dovetail part of the front sight is made into the barrel.

Can anyone tell me if this is a 14 or 141 and what the date of manufacture would be?

Thanks
Buddy

it is definitely a model 14, and the serial would mean it was probably ,made in late 1916.
