Here is a gun from our family collection. We have had this passed down from historically significant relatives. I just got the itch the other day to research this gun and came across this group.
Has there been any type of census done on this gun or just the Zig zag?
Any other comments are appreciated.
I believe the serial number is 3563 located when the breech is broke open for loading.

I'm unaware of census/survival research being collected on the 5 barrel, if I remember correctly I have seen a serial in the 14K range, I've never seen anything higher then that. I AM however interested in the 17-19K range serials of the 4 barrel to understand when the frame change was made, best guess in ~18,000.
