Undefined Remington rifle.

Help is needed in Finland. I have an old Remington rifle and I`d like to have more information about it. All I know is the information engraved above the barrel: Remington Armory 1939 and serial number. The caliber might be bigger than .30-06 but I`m not sure. The rifle belonged to my grandfather and when he died he took all information with him. I have few pictures and I`ll add them in the end of this message. I hope someone have some knowledge and I´ll be very grateful. Thank you!!
